G’day friends. :)
Unfortunately, I am still feeling pretty crappy this morning.
Besides taking the antibiotics the doc prescribed me,

I decided to start my day with some tea and stretching.
First, I found this video:
and followed along.
It helped get my blood and energy flowing.
Then I made some Genmaicha.
Genmaicha is the Japanese name for green tea combined with roasted brown rice.
It’s also the only tea I actually really like, and will drink.
As per the hopefully-accurate Wikipeda:
It is sometimes referred to colloquially as “popcorn tea” because a few grains of the rice pop during the roasting process and resemble popcorn. This type of tea was originally drunk by poor Japanese, as the rice served as a filler and reduced the price of the tea; which is why it is also known as the “people’s tea.”
You’re welcome for the history lesson.
Ingredients:
- roasted brown rice (just put brown rice into a saucepan, and roast over medium heat until browned – I roast a bunch at a time and just keep it in a ziploc container)
- green tea (I use two bags for the size of my teapot)
- boiling water (duh)
Then add tea bags, water and steep for a few minutes
Difficult, I know.
You’ll get it with some practice.
Oh, that’s just my dog.
Keepin it gangstaaaaaaaaaaa
